Let There Be Cello Tour

There is a new generation of musicians who are looking to unleash their creativity without limits, taking advantage of the momentum of the new channels of the digital age to achieve the success they deserve. One of the examples of this is 2Cellos, the cello duo formed by the young Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser -the first, Slovenian; the second, Croatian-, who rose to fame thanks to a video posted on the YouTube platform in which they covered Michael Jackson's hit “Smooth Criminal” with their instruments. That interpretation serves as a cover letter and a good sample of everything that could come later. The viralization of the video was the starting point for a career marked by the reinterpretation of an instrument that deviates from classical standards to adapt to rock languages in the hands of these two virtuosos.

It was 2011 when they rose to fame. They released an album in which they covered rock legends like Guns N' Roses, Nirvana or Muse, and artists with more melodic registers like Sting or Coldplay. In his second full-length, “Int2ition”, he followed the path of homage to iconic artists such as AC/DC, Red Hot Chili Peppers or Elton John, the same one who had invited them to be part of his summer tour shortly after his arrival. . In 2015, “Celloverse” followed the same line, although it now highlights his own compositions such as the album's title track or an introduction to AC/DC's powerful “Thunderstruck”.

The albums have been arriving and the diffusion on the networks has not stopped growing, and in 2017 they have returned with an even more ambitious work, “Score”, together with the London Symphony Orchestra, where they cover music from cinema and television. There is only one thing better than enjoying them on YouTube: having the opportunity to enjoy their virtuosity live, and witness how the classic and the modern converge when the common element is talent and quality.
