The trial rider bids farewell to top competition at Palau Sant Jordi.
The ‘Cathedral of Trials’, as this sporting discipline has dubbed Palau Sant Jordi, hosted the 48th edition of the Indoor Trials and the 5th Women's Trophy on Sunday 2nd February. More than 7,700 people enjoyed an afternoon of spectacle and intense emotions and said goodbye to the six-time world champion and six-time winner of the Indoor Trial, Adam Raga.
The rider from Ulldecona, who finished in third position, was able to stand on the podium once again, thus fulfilling his dream of saying goodbye to the venue that saw him compete for 24 years. In addition to the public recognition of his career, Palau Sant Jordi also paid a small tribute to him after the competition.
The Indoor Trial is one of the most historic sporting events in Barcelona. The first edition, in 1978 was held at Palau dels Esports. In 1991 it moved to Palau Sant Jordi where it was able to extend the circuit and accommodate more spectators. In 2021 it was incorporated into the Women's Trophy competition, the only women's event in the world.
The 2025 winners have been Toni Bou and Berta Abellàn in the respective categories.
