The Olympic Stadium was designed by the architect Pere Domènech i Roura and openedin 1929 for the Barcelona World Fair.
The 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona allowed it to be remodelled by the Correa-Milà-Margarit-Buixadé team of architects with the participation of the Italian Gregotti. Only the façade and the two sculptures of jockeys by Pau Gargallo were preserved.
It was inaugurated again on 8 September 1989 for the Athletics World Cup. Since then it has been the scene of many sporting, musical and corporate events.
But before all this, the Stadium experienced many historic moments, come and discover them!
