Personal data protection policy

  • Who is the Data Controller of your personal data?

The Data Controller of your personal data is Barcelona de Serveis Municipals, S.A. (hereinafter “BSM.SA”), with registered office at Carrer Calàbria 66, 08015, Barcelona, telephone number 93.887.50 and email address protecciodades@bsmsa.cat.

The data subjects are furthermore informed that BSM.SA has appointed a Data Protection Officer who may be contacted by telephone on 93.887.50.34 or by email at dpo@bsmsa.cat.

  • What is the purpose of us processing your data?

BSM.SA will process the personal data you provide for the purpose of arranging minors’ access with a chaperone, by means of an authorisation, to the relevant Olympic Ring venue.

The lawful basis of this processing is compliance with a legal obligation that applies to the data controller under Article 6.1 c) of the GDPR, in accordance with the provisions of Article 53 of Decree 112/2010, of 31 August, approving Catalonia’s Regulations on Public Shows and Recreational Activities.

  • How long will we keep your personal data?

BSM.SA will keep your personal data for as long as they are needed to fulfil the purpose for which they were collected, unless you request that they be deleted.

Once the purpose for which they were collected has been fulfilled or you have requested the deletion of the data, in accordance with Article 32 of Framework Act 3/2018 of 5 December on Personal Data Protection and the Guarantee of Digital Rights, personal data shall be duly blocked for as long as necessary to comply with the applicable legal obligations in each case.  

  • To whom will your data be disclosed?

BSM.SA may disclose your data to public or private third parties when there is a legal obligation or authorization to do so. Furthermore, in order to provide you with services, BSM.SA may work with service providers who may have access to your data and will act in the name and on behalf of BSM.SA, following our instructions, and will under no circumstances have access to your data for their own purposes.  

  • Are there any international transfers of personal data?

BSM.SA does not anticipate any international transfers of data. However, should such transfers take place in the future, the provisions of the applicable data protection regulations will be taken into account and applied.

  • Are your data used for automated decision-making or profiling?

No automated decisions are made and no profiling is carried out.

  • What are your rights as a data subject?
  • Access: You may receive confirmation if BSM.SA processes your personal data, and view the personal data included in BSM.SA’s processing.
  • Rectification: You may correct your personal data if they are inaccurate and complete them if they are incomplete.
  • Erasure: You may request the deletion of personal data for several different reasons, including on the grounds that the data are no longer necessary in relation to the purposes for which they were collected.
  • Objection: You may request for your personal data not to be processed. BSM.SA shall stop processing the data, unless there are overriding legal reasons for the processing, or it is necessary for the exercise or defense of legal claims.
  • Restriction of processing: You may request the restriction of data processing in the following cases:
  • while a challenge regarding the accuracy of the data is being investigated;
  • when the processing is unlawful and you oppose the erasure of the data and request the restriction of their use instead;
  • when BSM.SA does not need to process the data, but you need them for the exercise or defense of legal claims;
  • when you have objected to the processing of the data for the performance of a task in the public interest or for the fulfilment of a legitimate interest, pending the verification of whether the legitimate grounds of BSM.SA override yours. 
  • Portability: You may receive, in electronic format, the personal data you have provided and those resulting from your relationship with BSM.SA, as well as transfer them to another organization

You may exercise these rights by sending a written request to Barcelona de Serveis Municipals S.A., Carrer Calàbria, 66. 08015, addressed to the Data Protection Officer, or by sending an email to protecciodades@bsmsa.cat. Please be informed that, in order to exercise your rights, you must provide sufficient proof of your identity, indicating the right you wish to exercise.

Finally, the Data Subject will have the right to lodge a complaint with the Catalan Data Protection Authority if they believe that BSM.SA has not processed their personal data in accordance with the applicable regulations.
