On Sunday, February 8, the Palau Sant Jordi once again became the temple of motor sports, hosting the 49th edition of the Barcelona Indoor Trial + Women’s Trophy Indoor Trial.
7,300 spectators were able to witness live the victories of Toni Bou, achieving his 19th win at the venue, and Berta Abellán, who won the Women’s Trophy and, at the same time, revalidated her indoor world champion title.
This competition, which is approaching its 50th anniversary, has been held consecutively at the Palau Sant Jordi for 36 years. It is a city’s commitment to transforming a competitive sport into a full-scale spectacle.
The Indoor Trial at the Palau Sant Jordi is also a meeting point for generations who have seen great names compete, such as Adam Raga, Toni Bou, Marc Colomer, Albert Cabestany, among others, and witnessed the birth in 2021 of the Women’s Trophy, the first women’s indoor trial competition organized by RPM Sports.
